The Eyehelp app offers you all your eye data in one place. You have access to all your eye images. Plus, all other relevant information. You're in complete control of your data. And you decide which health professional gets access to your eye data. The app is also the place where you learn more about your eye disease.

Cataract

This is a common condition that may occur at all ages. It may be due to insufficient production of tears by the lacrimal gland or due to poor quality of tears. If the quality of the tears is lacking, the tear film will evaporate more quickly thus resulting in dry eyes.

Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis

Also known as pinkeye. It is a condition that inflames the tissues covering the sclera and covering the inside of the eyelids. As a result of this inflammation your eyes may tear, feel itchy and your vision may be blurry. In addition, symptoms such as photofobia (intolerance to light) may be present.

Diabetic retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy.

Is a complication of high sugar levels in people with diabetes. It affects blood vessels of the retina leading to leakage of fluids and blood. Fluid leakage in the macula may cause it to swell which causes vision loss and in severe cases may lead to blindness.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma

Is a chronic condition of the optic nerve, which connects the eye to the brain. It is usually caused by higher than normal eye pressures. Due to these high eye pressures the optic nerve is constrained leading to damage of the nerve fibers of the optic nerve.

Floaters

Floaters

Floaters look like circles, dots or cobwebs in your field of vision. Tiny clumps of the cells may form inside the vitreous leading to the formation of these floaters. The shadows these clumps cast on the retina are perceived as floaters. Floaters usually happen with a posterior vitreous detachment.

Keratitis

Keratitis refers to the inflammation of the cornea: the clear dome shaped part covering the front of our eye. Symptoms may include pain, irritation and sensitivity to light. This condition has a multitude of causes, including allergic or infectious ones. An important cause of bacterial keratitis is due to the inappropriate (over)wear of contact lenses.
